Physical Attributes of the Pendants

To better depict the size of the pendants I chose a standard size (3 3/4") coaster to use as a reference point...the knotwork/dragon motif I couldn't pass up!





As you can see, the pendants, by size, make themselves known. They are also heavier than they appear. The findings are silver plate and/or pewter and polish up with a cloth quite easily. The gold settings are gold plated, the copper is,of course, copper.





Because everyone has different preferences, the pendants come on a waxed cotton cord that is adjustable from just below the throat to just above the navel. Some people have said the energy is too overwhelming for them to wear continuously at the solar plexus. Others have no difficulty at all. I personally wear one on my torc, just below throat level, and a second one at my center. Once you determine where yours works best for you, the cord can be replaced with a chain of the length you deem most advantageous to your energy/energy working.

Meditations and Musings in the Creation Process

This is my personal piece and the first one created. Working with this stone has been quite an experience! Initially the energy from it was almost overwhelming, I wasn't expecting so much energy and "information" all at once. As I continued to meditate with the stone there was a harmonization of the energy, I gained a stronger sense of balance, groundedness, and awareness.

The stone has a natural spiraling pattern within it, and the ability to tap into all four elemental streams, (the elemental "Dragons", if you will). In "speaking" with the stone I had an experience where the stone showed me many different ways the elemental streams weave in and out of each other.I experienced deep earth as an actual part of it, feeling the ancient power of stone, the energy waves of the earth's core - not as firey heat but as light, warmth, and transformation/growth. The pulse of it as it moves through all of the oceans and land masses, the uprising to mountain peaks, the networking of tree roots, the pathways or Dragon Lines as it travels.Then the connection to water, how the earth currents work with and shape the rivers, lakes, streams, springs. How the water currents feed the earth creating the natural forests, meadows, waterfalls, underground caverns, the stalagmite/stalatite formations over centuries, the shaping of earth by water, the places that were once ocean floor...Next, Fire: the power of volcanoes, the core of the earth, but also the sun as it creates the growth cycle through the seasons all across the planet. Sun that shapes the water as clouds, mist, fog, the rainbow created by "fire to water", the sun glistening across snow and bare forest, yet, you feel the energy of impending spring. The element of air that can breathe life into all, yet can destroy with impunity. The gentle breeze that carries scent, that gives voice to trees, that shapes and weathers mountains, that creates storms, and augaries in the clouds. Air makes the sunlight dance, gives life to a candle or campfire, it is the air currents that carry the birds mighty and small, that dragonflies dance upon. Which is the strongest or most important? We cannot do without any of them, they are all interconnected. Each is a part of the other.

Words can only partially describe this meditation, the mental imagery that came with it, the intense feeling of being connected to everything at once (if only for a moment) was somthing that one must experience for themselves. A Dragonskin Agate is the perfect "travel agent" for this kind of "round the world trip"!

Another interesting experience was a couple of weeks ago when I thought I had drained my piece of energy, I couldn't feel it at all. I took it off and laid in on my table to inspect it, using one of my wands to check the energy and confirm the stones were still talking to each other properly. As soon as I began I felt like I got hit with a giant wave that rolled right through me...I actually jumped in my chair! It wasn't that the piece had lost energy, nor had I lost connection...it was just so blended with/woven into my own energy that it's feeling had become as natural as breathing. That was an unexpected surprise!

Kyanite is one of those rare stones that do not require periodic cleansing, it is self clearing. It is also very good at taking your "wheels/chakras/energy centers" and bringing them into immediate alignment. Whenever I feel like my "wheels" are looking like "seven miles of bad road" from the daily challenges of life, I use a raw kyanite wand I've had for years to correct the measure...so I speak of Kyanite based on my personal experience with it.

In creating this piece, I had the added benefits of "getting adjusted" while I was making it. The DragonSkin drop blended so perfectly that minimal adjustment to the energy between them was required. When it was complete, and I tapped into it to check the energy signature, the feeling was one of such expansion that I thought I was going to come right out of my body. The DragonSkin sent energy up through the kyanite, which then began the flooding of energy outward like a bubble getting larger and larger from the inside out. The kyanite kept the DragonSkin perfectly balanced and aligned so the energy loop was complete and focused almost like a laser. This would be the kind of piece that would allow you to do any kind of magickal working with a new type of precision...a very necessary/major type healing comes to mind. No "fuzzy" magic here!

As I've explained previously, I don't meditate with each individual piece. I do feel each piece as it's coming together; letting the stones guide me on partner stones and design. When they're completed I check the harmonization between the stones and will get a message as to the general attributes, but again, the stones work with the person on an individual basis. What I recieve may be what I need to "see/feel" at that moment. What another gets, may be quite different because they already know, or aren't ready yet. But, they do "grow" with you. This particular piece was a very different experience...

Upon beginning to create this piece, the first impression I received was that this DragonSkin had a dual energy/personality. As I "looked" at each side it was like looking at two different stones. I commented to Finneagas about it because it's the first one I've run across that exhibited this quality. Once this piece was completed, I again began to check the signature/energy loop...much to my delighted surprise the energy of it was moving in two different directions! On one side the energy was moving vertically: the rock crystal sending up to the jet, the jet purifying the energy and sending to the DragonSkin, then the DragonSkin rushing upward like a geyser. When I turned it over the other side was moving horizontally! The feeling was like putting your fingers in a stream:if you move with the current, the flow is quick with no resistance, but if you move against the flow you feel the water moving past you and the resistance as you move in the opposite direction. I found this to be a curious physical sensation, and it set my magickal mind to considering a whole host of ideas to which this duality could be applied...I still believe The Mother outdid herself when she created these stones, she never ceases to amaze!
